Bal Sansar Public School
Ajmer, Rajasthan

About BSPS
The Bal Sansar Public School (BSPS) has been educating children in the villages of Ajmer district since 1999, offering quality pre-primary and primary schooling where few other options exist. The 2023–24 session enrolled 120 children — 60% of them girls — from surrounding villages. BSPS keeps fees flexible and subsidised so that no child is turned away for financial reasons.
BSPS provides quality, equitable education from playgroup to Class 8 under private school registration rules of the Government of Rajasthan, with plans for gradual expansion to elementary and senior secondary levels. The curriculum emphasises culturally sensitive, environmentally grounded education and holistic child development through multiple intelligences.
For many students here, BSPS is where a family's first reader and first writer begins.
COVID-19 Resilience
When schools across India shut in 2020, BSPS teachers walked to students' homes, delivered worksheets by hand, and continued lessons over phone calls. Every one of BSPS's 156 students remained enrolled through the lockdown — all were promoted that year, without a single dropout.
Smart Classrooms
Through CSR support from Mitsubishi Electric, BSPS now has 2 smart classrooms equipped with modern interactive teaching technology and seating facilities — enabling digital learning for rural students who would otherwise have no access to such resources.
